Gerard Hattingh obtained a LLM degree from the North West University. He was initially widely involved in public policy matters and served as Member of Parliament on the Justice Portfolio from 1999 to 2000. He was admitted in 2005 as an attorney and conveyancer and co-founded the conveyancing division of Hattingh & Scholtz. As conveyancer Gerard has extensive experience in property transfers and has attended to bond registrations and compliance on behalf of all four major South African banks.

With broad experience and a Master’s degree in Estate Planning Law he has specialized knowledge and passion in the fields of estate planning, trusts and the administration of deceased estates.

Belinda Scholtz obtained her B Proc degree from the University of Johannesburg and was admitted as an attorney in 2005. Prior to obtaining her degree she worked for 5 years for Nedcor Bank. During her articles, she gained specialized experience in all aspects of conveyancing practice and property law. Belinda co-founded the conveyancing division of Hattingh & Scholtz Incorporated where she established exceptional standards for client service, compliance, turnaround times and business development. Belinda ensures Service Level Compliance for Banks and was instrumental in averaging exceptionally fast turnaround times for Transfers and Bond registrations.

Belinda has further acquired extensive experience in family law and divorce mediation and steers the firms divorce matters.
